Deciding on your business name can be a daunting task!

We've set four simple rules to safely guide you to your perfect business name...

  1. Indicate what you do.

A name like "Tom and Huck" for example doesn't tell the potential client anything about your business. A good name choice would rather be "Toms' Insurance". Warning : Keep the name flexible, your business name shouldn't restrict your services or products, such as "Toms' Building Insurance" which would trap your business in that specific field.

  2. Your name should be easy to spell and memorable

Clients need to remember your business' name, so make the name you select "unique". This is quickly discovered by doing a web search on the name in question. Also check that your name is available as a domain name to secure your web presence. The name should be easy to spell, you don't want clients struggling to find you online or via the yellow pages.

  3. Spotlight what differentiates your business from others.

The name of your business accomplishes the initial sales communication between you and the client. Include your greatest sales pitch such as "Speed Deliveries"

  4. Set the tone of your business

Words induce emotions and images in our minds, play with words which will stir interest such as "Cloud 9 Therapeutic Massage"
